Just over a month has passed since Xiaomi released the Redmi Pad Pro, albeit exclusively in China. In the intervening period, evidence appeared online outlining that Xiaomi also intends to offer the POCO Pad globally. As such, it seems that both will be available in multiple markets, although it remains to be seen whether they will be sold in the same countries simultaneously.
In short, Xiaomi has not officially commented on the POCO Pad yet. However, it has now launched the Redmi Pad Pro globally with the same hardware as its previous Chinese release. As such, the Redmi Pad Pro features the following hardware internationally:
- 12.1-inch IPS display, 2.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset
- LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 flash storage
- 10,000 mAh battery, 33 W wired charging
- Quad speakers
As far as we can tell, Xiaomi has only made one change from the Redmi Pad Pro's original release. Specifically, the company has dropped the tablet's 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage option. As a result, the Redmi Pad Pro is available globally in two memory configurations. The tablet's original Graphite Grey, Mint Green and Ocean colour options remain though, which can be purchased with the following memory configurations:
- 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage - €299.90 MSRP
- 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage - €349.90 MSRP
