The new iPad Pro with Apple M4 is a powerhouse and the most capable tablet the company has launched. But the "Crush!" ad that wanted to portray how it combines many creative aspects into one slim package wasn't received well by creative minds. It had gone to a point where Apple had to apologize for the ad, saying, "We missed the mark with this video, and we're sorry."
Well, Samsung didn't let go of the chance to bash this controversial ad and promote its latest Galaxy Tab S9 series (S9 128 GB WiFi curr. $757.26 on Amazon). To fill you in, the iPad Pro M4 ad shows an industrial compressor destroying creative tools such as paint cans, camera lenses, and musical instruments. As the hydraulic press emerges, it reveals the new Apple tablet.
While the company wanted to show that the new iPad Pro M4 could do many creative things, creative minds viewed it as Apple destroying the symbols of human creativity. Samsung's latest ad on the matter takes a different approach. It shows a musician picking up a badly damaged guitar from a pile of other crushed items and starts playing it.
The musician follows musical notations from a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, and the words "Creativity cannot be crushed" pop up on the screen. As for the caption of the ad, Samsung says, "We would never crush creativity." All these are directed toward the controversial Apple iPad Pro ad.
Of course, the Apple ad will probably not have any negative effect on iPad Pro M4 sales, as, after all, it's the best that the company has offered. But it's definitely interesting to see how competitors such as Samsung are taking advantage of the controversial ad.
