Xiaomi Mix Flip confirmed to be coming to Europe, will be priced at €1300/$1400

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is getting an overseas launch, with Bulgaria confirmed as one of only five launch markets in Central and Eastern Europe. The news comes alongside the launch of Xiaomi's "Mi Summer Tour" and "Summer Mi is with Xiaomi" promotional campaigns. Past leaks have already established that the device is coming to Europe and some parts of Asia, so there is very little surprise in that. However, the price is a different story.

Nikolay Nankov, head of Bulgarian operations for Xiaomi, revealed the availability details during a press event. The Mix Flip will be offered in limited quantities at a recommended retail price of BGN 2,600 (approximately $1,400 USD). Compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 (currently $1,099 on Amazon) and even its own domestic starting price in China (6,000 Yuan/€758), that's a bump and then some. 

The Xiaomi Mix Flip features a dual-display design. The 4-inch external display has a curved design for comfortable use and allows for full app functionality. The main foldable display unfolds to a sizeable 6.86 inches and offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits with HDR support. Both displays are protected by ultra-thin glass, and the main foldable panel is certified to endure 500,000 folds and unfolds.

Internally, the Mix Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, promising strong performance. A 4780 mAh battery keeps the phone running, with 67-watt fast charging for quick power refills. The camera system consists of a dual 50MP setup: a wide-angle main lens and a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom (more about the camera system in our launch article).

Xiaomi currently holds the second-place position in Bulgaria's smartphone market share, trailing only Samsung and placing ahead of Apple, with a market share of around 25%. The exact date for the Mix Flip's European launch isn't available yet, but reports state that it will be launched after August 15. With almost all the info out, it's very likely that we won't have to wait too long.
