Nothing's sub-brand CMF has already confirmed the existence of its very first smartphone, with teasers hinting at a unique design on the back. While the company hasn't revealed the pricing info yet, a leak suggests that the CMF Phone 1 would have a "box price" of INR 19,999 (about $239), lower than the Nothing Phone 2a.

Nothing introduced the CMF sub-brand with the focus on offering affordable products. So far, the company has brought out a good number of accessories, including multiple wireless earbuds, a smartwatch, and a 65W GaN charger. Recently, the sub-brand has teased its very first smartphone, CMF Phone 1.

As per the teasers shared by the company, the Phone 1 will sport a unique design on the back. For example, there's the "Nothing Lock," which has a distinctive screw that will likely enable you to attach proprietary accessories such as lanyards and brackets.

While the brand has yet to reveal the specs of the smartphone, an earlier leak suggested that the CMF Phone 1 will be offering a slight upgrade over the Nothing Phone 2a. It will allegedly come with a Dimensity 7300 SoC, the successor of the SoC found inside Nothing's new affordable phone.

The leak also claimed that the Phone 1 from CMF will have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, up to 8 GB of RAM, and a 50 MP primary camera on the back. Now, a new leak has shed light on the possible price of the smartphone.

It will allegedly have a "box price" of INR 19,999 (about $239), which is lower than what the Nothing Phone 2a starts at (12+256 GB curr. $419.94 on Amazon). Worth noting that the pricing can further lower with launch day deals and discounts, possibly making the CMF Phone 1 more affordable.

As per rumors, CMF will keep the price down by ditching the Glyph LEDs found in Nothing phones. The teasers have also hinted that it's the route that the sub-brand is going for. Also, the official teasers have suggested that the back will be made of plastic, which may not make the phone feel premium, but it helps to keep the price down and improve durability.
