Magcubic is offering an improved version of the HY300, namely the HY320, which is a relatively compact projector that does not require an external player. An Allwinner SoC is installed alongside an apparently customized version of Android 11 as the operating system. The projector comes with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, enabling internet access with greater stability and data transfer rates. Headphones and loudspeakers can be connected via Bluetooth if the performance of the integrated sound system proves inadequate. Two speakers are installed. Miracast and AirPlay are supported.
The projector is advertised with a brightness of 10,000 lumens, which is definitely not an indication of ANSI lumens, so the actual achievable brightness of the Magcubic HY320 cannot be compared with that of other devices. Images uploaded by users as part of corresponding reviews show that the projection is quite visible in rooms that are not sufficiently dark, but the projector is still not particularly bright, especially compared to more expensive models with a conventional light source. The HY320 is not a projector with short-throw optics, so a greater distance between the projector and the projection surface is required. According to the manufacturer, a distance of between 1 and 4 meters results in a projection of between 50 and 200 inches. Keystone correction takes place automatically
The model is currently available on AliExpress at a price of around $64. Amazon sells the same model for a higher price, but shipping is of course quicker and the enforcement of warranty rights is virtually guaranteed.
