Leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore has revealed global launch details for the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro, the company's latest mid-range smartphones and cheaper alternatives to its flagship Magic6 Pro (curr. $1,010 on Amazon). For context, the company introduced the pair in China late last month. Typically, Honor waits months before introducing new smartphones outside its home market, as was the case with the Magic V2.
By contrast, Ambhore alleges that the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro will land on June 12. As always, it seems that Honor has trimmed some of the memory configurations in which the pair are available in China. Specifically, Ambhore claims that Honor only intends to sell the two devices with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. For reference, the company sells the Honor 200 in its home market with between 8 GB and 16 of RAM in its home market plus 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Honor 200 Pro adds a 1 TB option to the mix while lacking an 8 GB RAM SKUs.
Moreover, Ambhore reports that Honor will include a complimentary pair of Honor Choice earbuds with initial Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro orders in some markets. Predictably, both devices will be significantly more expensive in Europe than in China. According to the same leaker, Honor will charge between €600 and €650 in Europe for the Honor 200 but between €750 and €800 for the Honor 200 Pro. In other words, both devices will be nearing flagship launch prices.
