Apple has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to AI, but will not miss the opportunity to put its own special stamp on the subject thanks to its bold marketing department. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, renowned for his analysis and accurate pre-announcements on Apple, AI at Apple will not be called Artificial Intelligence but Apple Intelligence, which of course somewhat obscures the fact that it will be largely the same features that the competition had much earlier.
In any case, AI will be at the center of Apple CEO Tim Cook's keynote speech, which will traditionally kick off the four-day developer conference in sunny Cupertino. According to Gurman, the hype topic will take up at least half of the approximately two-hour keynote, with the rest dedicated to all the other new features of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 and watchOS 11, on which Gurman has also already commented in detail.
Experience has proven that there is likely to be many more previously unknown details that the Apple team will announce for the first time at the WWDC launch event, although new hardware will apparently not be included this year. We will of course summarize the most important innovations afterwards.
