Doogee R20: New Android tablet with huge battery that can withstand dust, water and drops
Doogee has a new tablet in its range, the R20. The current price is $355, directly from the manufacturer. As a rugged tablet, it is certified as having met the requirements of IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H, so it provides protection against drops and water and should be able to withstand temperatures between -40 and 70 °C.
A MediaTek Helio G99 SoC is installed, which should allow for decent computing performance. The RAM measures 8 GB and can be expanded by up to 12 GB via a swap file. A 256 GB memory is installed, which can be expanded up to 2 TB via a memory card.
The R20 has a 10.36-inch 2K screen that comes with Widevine L1 certification, which means that content from various streaming service providers such as Netflix can be played back in full resolution. The generously-sized 21,600 mAh battery can be charged via USB Type C with up to 33 watts.
The main camera sensor has a resolution of 50 MP and comes from Sony. The front camera from Samsung has 16 MP. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side as well as a classic jack socket. Android 13 is used as the operating system. Connections to cellular networks are possible, as is the accurate tracking of the user's location. As other Doogee tablets are available on Amazon, such as the Doogee T30 Pro or the Doogee U10, the R20 is likely to be also offered there soon.
