XPPen Magic Drawing Pad: A relatively cheap graphics tablet that comes with Android and 16,384 pressure levels
XPPen is very much a specialist: the company offers various products for producing drawings and illustrations. The Magic Drawing Pad is designed to make it particularly easy for artists to create high-quality drawings in nature or on the go.
In a way, the heart of the system is the digitizer, which is said to be able to differentiate between 16,384 pressure levels. The accuracy or maximum deviation in the center of the display is estimated at 0.5 millimeters, and up to 1.5 millimeters in the corners. The X3 Pro Pencil supports EMR technology, promising a particularly natural writing and drawing experience. Neither charging the pen nor pairing is necessary. The tip of the pen measures just 1.65 millimeters and is intended to allow for particularly precise strokes. Functions can be assigned to a button on the pen.
The display measures 12.2 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2160 x 1440. The brightness is estimated at up to 360 cd/m², the sRGB color space can be reproduced more than completely at 109%, the Adobe RGB color space at 82% and the NTSC color space at 77%. The refresh rate is only 60 Hz.
An MT8771 with two Cortex A76 and six Cortex A55 cores is installed, the RAM measures 8 GB, and the internal 256 GB RAM can be expanded via a microSD memory card. Although Android 12, as the operating system, is outdated, it nevertheless ensures access to the Play Store. Two microphones and four speakers are installed, as well as an 8 MP front camera and a main camera. The 8000 mAh battery can be charged with up to 15 watts. WiFi 802.11 a/g/b/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1 are supported, but cellular connectivity is not.
The model can be ordered at a price of $499.99. In addition to the tablet, the scope of delivery also includes the stylus and several pen tips.
