Honor officially unveiled its new Honor Pad 9 tablet at the end of last year. At that time, however, it was only launched in China. Now there are signs of a global launch for the tablet, as the Honor Pad 9 has appeared in several certifications.
In the recent past, entries for the tablet with the model number "HEY2-W09" have appeared at both the IMDA in Singapore and the TDRA in the United Arab Emirates. This shows that Honor is preparing to release the Pad 9 outside of China.
Official information on the global launch of the Honor Pad 9 is not yet available. So it is not yet clear exactly when and where the tablet will be released. However, as the Honor Pad 8 predecessor is already available in Europe, the new generation is also likely to come to Europe.
The certification bodies didn't really provide any details about the specifications of the global Honor Pad 9. If we assume that the global model is (almost) identical to the Chinese model, we can expect a 12.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and 120 Hz. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm powers the Chinese model, which is also found in the Honor Magic6 Lite. This is flanked by up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage space. An 8300 mAh battery rounds off the features of the almost 7 mm thin tablet. The Honor Pad 9 starts at a price of 1399 yuan (approx. EUR 180) in China, but is likely to be somewhat more expensive in Europe.
