N-One NPad X1: Cheap Android tablet for high-resolution media playback launches with dual SIM
The N-one Npad X1 is now available in a new model version, at least as a direct import for the time being. The current price is around $180, not including shipping or import taxes.
The new version of the tablet comes with one significant improvement in particular, depending on the intended use: Widevine L1 certification, which means that streaming material from Netflix or Prime Video, for example, can be played in full HD resolution. The 11-inch display has a resolution of 2000 x 1200. Four individual speakers, which can also be found on the four corners of the tablet, are intended to provide solid sound quality.
A MediaTek Helio G99 is used as the processor or SoC, which also has two powerful Cortex A76 cores. The RAM is sensibly sized at 8 GB; overall, the N-one Npad X1 is likely to be quite suitable for surfing. The built-in UFS 2.2 storage measures 128 GB.
Operation with two SIM cards is also supported, but only on 4G mobile networks and not on 5G networks. A main camera from Sony with a resolution of 20 MP is advertised, while the front camera has a resolution of 8 MP. The 7.5 millimeter thick tablet weighs just 525 grams. Dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 are available, as is a sensor for adjusting the screen brightness, depending on the ambient light.
A battery with a capacity of 8600 mAh is installed, which can also be charged with up to 18 watts. Android 13 is used as the operating system. Lastly, a GNSS sensor is also installed, which means the tablet can be used for navigational purposes.
