Motorola Moto G24 Power global release official with Android 14 and 6,000 mAh battery
Motorola continues to expand the Moto G series at a rate of knots. This month alone, the company has introduced the Moto G04 and Moto G24, as well as the Moto G Play 2024 at the turn of the year. Now, it has brought forth the Moto G24 Power, roughly six weeks after MySmartPrice revealed numerous details about the device.
As expected, Motorola has designed the Moto G24 Power in two colours, which it describes as Glacier Blue and Ink Blue. Additionally, the new model differs only in a few areas from the Moto G24. On the one hand, Motorola has equipped the Moto G24 Power with a front-facing camera that resolves at 16 MP, twice the resolution of the equivalent in the Moto G24. However, the Moto G24 Power's front-facing camera also has over 10% smaller pixels and a narrower f/2.5 aperture, which could reduce image quality in low light conditions.
On the other hand, the Moto G24 Power finds itself with a 6,000 mAh battery and 30 W wired charging, both improvements on the Moto G24. Specifically, the Moto G24 Power has a 20% larger battery capacity than the Moto G24, which it can recharge at twice the peak wattage, too. The additional battery capacity makes the Moto G24 Power 1 mm thicker and 16 g heavier than its series counterpart, though.
Elsewhere, the Moto G24 Power features the same 90 Hz and 720p IPS display as the Moto G24, along with its 50 MP primary camera and MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. According to Motorola, the Moto G24 Power will be available first in Europe for €159, with launches following in other markets like India. While all SKUs will ship with Android 14, there will be two memory configurations with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB of eMMC 5.1 flash storage. Please see Motorola's website for more details.
