Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro get up to 79% larger battery with the Mophie Juice Pack
Zagg is bringing back the Mophie Juice Pack and optimizing the protective case with an integrated battery for the Apple iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The variant for the iPhone 15 has a 2400 mAh battery, the iPhone 15 Pro a 2600 mAh battery and the Pro Max a 2800 mAh battery.
In doing so, Mophie has expanded the battery capacity of the top model by at least 63%, while the total battery capacity of the iPhone 15 Pro has even increased by 79%. The case is connected to the iPhone via a USB-C connector to guarantee the highest possible charging efficiency. If a charging cable is connected to the USB-C port of the protective case, the iPhone's battery is fully charged first before the case is charged.
The Juice Pack is intended to significantly extend the battery life of the iPhone, but it also makes the smartphone significantly thicker, as the Juice Pack is around 17 millimetres thick and adds a wide chin to the iPhone. The fact that no such case has been released by Zagg since the Juice Pack Access for the iPhone XS is likely and partly due to the fact that MagSafe batteries such as the Ugreen Nexode Wireless Powerbank have been a convenient alternative since the iPhone 12, which also do not make the smartphone thicker and heavier.
Price and availability
The Mophie Juice Pack for the Apple iPhone 15 will be available in the US from February at a price of $99.95, but the manufacturer has not yet confirmed any details about a possible international launch.
