OPPO Find X8 and X8 Pro pop up with international model numbers in new leak
The OPPO Find X7 is only available via re-sellers such as TradingShenzhen outside China. Its successor, however, is now all the more likely to have more luck with official channels thanks to its series' latest leak.
The upcoming X8 and X8 Pro are believed to debut as the PKB110 and PKC110 respectively in China - and as the CPH2651 and CPH2659 outside that jurisdiction, according to TheTechOutlook.
The blog claims to have spotted the devices registered under those convincingly 'global OPPO' identifiers on Indonesia's official SDPPI database.
The same model numbers have also reportedly appeared on India's BIS database, thereby suggesting that the X8 and its Pro sibling will become available in both countries following their possibly imminent debut in their domestic market.
Accordingly, it seems that the vanilla and Pro X8s are part of its series' 2024 return to the global market, even though both are reportedly powered by MediaTek's potentially intriguing Dimensity 9400 SoC in place of its Qualcomm equivalent.
They will probably arrive in the absence of the Pro's Satellite Communications Edition. However, even the vanilla X8 will make up for that by looking like the Android equivalent of the iPhone 16 Pro, albeit with even slimmer bezels and faster versions of MagSafe - not to mention the IP68-69 ratings normally only seen in rugged smartphones, according to OPPO executive Zhou Xibao.
