Oppo Find X8 to have slimmer bezels than iPhone 16 Pro
The Oppo Find X8 is expected to make its debut sometime in October, and it will reportedly be one of the first Dimensity 9400 phones. Past reports have hinted that this upcoming Android flagship could feature a "Quick Button," which will offer a similar functionality as the Capture Button found in the iPhone 16 series.
Now, Zhou Yibao, the company's Product Manager, has shared a comparison photo of the Oppo Find X8 and the iPhone 16 Pro. As Ice Universe pointed out, the picture shows that the former has slightly slimmer bezels than the latter, and Apple has already slimmed down the bezels on the newer flagships.
Another aspect revealed by the comparison photo is that the new Oppo Find X8 has a flat display. For reference, both the Find X7 and X7 Ultra launched with curved screens, so a flat display would be a big change for the new smartphone.
A recent report has also hinted that the Oppo Find X8 will be getting Oppo's version of MagSafe, which will reportedly be introducing magnetic wireless charging. Moreover, the phone is rumored to get something similar to Dynamic Island. All these would make the upcoming flagship go head to head with Apple's latest flagships, especially the iPhone 16 Pro models.
Other leaked details include a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen, 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, 50 MP primary camera, 3x periscope zoom, and 50 MP ultrawide sensor. The Find X8 is also expected to feature a 5,600 mAh battery and support 100W fast charging (Anker 100W GaN III charger curr. $49.99 on Amazon).
