Oppo Reno13: Upcoming mid-range Android smartphone faces off against iPhone 16 in new leak
Recent leaks have claimed to showcase Oppo's decision to give the upcoming Reno13 series as much of the iPhone 16 look as possible from the back with a new camera hump design. According to a newer tip, the Android smartphones' front panels have the standard-issue central punch-hole rather than a Dynamic Island cut-out, though.
The Reno13 and/or 13 Pro might beat Apple in another respect, however, and that is in the depth of their display bezels. Notorious leaker Digital Chat Station has posted an alleged side-by-side comparison between the new iPhone and one of the upcoming Oppo smartphones (the less compact of the two), and finds the latter superior in terms of screen-to-body ratio.
Digital Chat Station also now asserts that the Reno13 series will also have metal mid-frames in common with the iPhone, where those of the Reno12 series were made of plastic in order to keep their total mass down.
Together with rumors of magnetic wireless charging, more waterproofing and premium MediaTek Dimensity silicon, the Reno13 series are shaping up to bring a lot of value to the sub-flagship space later in November 2024.
