Oppo has now confirmed that the Reno13 series of smartphones are for those who would prefer the iPhone 16 or 16 Plus if either were equipped with a third rear camera and a ring flash apiece.
They are also for fans of South Korea-based pop idols, apparently, with Song Yuqi of the group (G)I-DLE as an official spokesperson. The singer has partnered with Oppo to hype its upcoming devices in Butterfly Purple, Galaxy Blue and Midnight Black, with an additional Starlight Pink for the Pro model, in advance of their November 25, 2024 debut.
The smartphones will be made official alongside the Pad 3 in mostly matching shades - and the Enco R3 Pro earbuds, looking plain by comparison in their new teasers as they only seem to come in white.
The Reno13 and 13 Pro might be less prepossessing on the inside, however, with the leaker @chunvn8888 now asserting that they will be powered by the last-gen Dimensity 8300 SoC across the board on the international market.
Then again, that might not be too much of a surprise, given that the Reno12 Pro as found on Amazon.in is a Dimensity 7300-powered smartphone.
