Oppo reveals it will unveil ColorOS 15 at its developer conference on October 17
The annual Oppo Developer Conference for 2024 is scheduled for October 17, and one of the main announcements will be the launch of ColorOS 15, the next version of the custom Android skin that powers Oppo phones and tablets.
AI will be the main theme of the conference, so it is expected that ColorOS 15 will have more than a few AI features that will help users in areas such as productivity, photography, gaming, and security.

The Oppo Find X8 series will most likely be the first device to bring ColorOS 15 to users, but we can expect the new OS to be released for eligible older Oppo devices such as the Find X7 Ultra as well as OnePlus devices sold in China since they run ColorOS.
The official page for the conference also mentions a handful of other AI-integrated projects Oppo has been working on including automobiles, health, gaming, and content creation. Oppo has revealed there will be an exhibition area where attendees will be able to see some of the AI-powered solutions it has developed.
Whether some or all of these solutions will be available to consumers is another question. Previous editions of its developer conference as seen it announce products that made a splash but remained a concept.
The conference will be held in Hangzhou, China and will begin at 10 AM China time. There will be a livestream of the event for those who can't attend in person.
