Oppo's Find X8 series might actually have magnetic wireless charging
Magnetic wireless charging has been available on iPhones since the iPhone 12, and while there have been a handful of Android devices with the feature such as the HMD Skyline (available on Amazon for $499), most Android brands have simply ignored it. That seems to have changed at Oppo as a leak has revealed the upcoming Find X8 series might actually have support for magnetic wireless charging.

Back in August, it was reported that the Find X8 Ultra would not have magnetic wireless charging but would support Oppo's line of magnetic accessories with the aid of magnetic cases. However, that seems to have changed as Digital Chat Station, the same source that reported the lack of magnetic wireless charging, has revealed all models in the series will actually have the feature.
The translation of his Weibo post seems to imply that all the Find X8 phones, including the Find X8 Ultra, actually have magnets built-in to support magnetic wireless charging and also work with magnetic accessories. However, the info should be taken with a pinch of salt until concrete evidence surfaces. The post also includes a look at Oppo's magnetic wireless charging battery pack.
The power bank is shown to have a white finish with Oppo's brand name on top and the words 'Magnetic Power Bank' written at the bottom. It has a silver metallic frame with four LEDs at the bottom to indicate battery level and a pill-shaped button on the side. There's no info on how much it will cost, but we can expect it to launch alongside the Find X8 phones.
The source also revealed Xiaomi has a 30W ultra-thin magnetic wireless charger coming which may mean that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 series might have support for magnetic wireless charging too. There's also the possibility that the phones may not have built-in magnets but require a magnetic case to use the charger. A leak of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's spec sheet revealed the phone will support 80W fast wireless charging but didn't say if it supports magnetic wireless charging.
