Jelly Max: Compact smartphone with extensive features, telephoto lens and high charging power now available for pre-order
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, Unihertz is now offering the Jelly Max for pre-order on its own website at an asking price of $320, while the regular retail price of the compact 5G smartphone is expected to be $340. According to Unihertz, shipping will commence in three weeks: customers are advised to inform themselves about the exact shipping conditions in advance. Those who don't want to wait can take a look at the significantly cheaper and even smaller Unihertz Jelly Star via Amazon.
Measuring just 128.78 x 62.7 x 16.3 millimeters, the Jelly Max weighs in at 180 grams and features the MediaTek Dimensity 7300. Although not a high-end computing chip, it does offer a 5G mobile connection and thus fast internet access. The LPDDR5 RAM is 12 GB in size, while the UFS 3.1 storage measures 256 GB.
Two card slots are installed, the second of which is a hybrid slot that can accommodate either a second SIM card or a memory card. The resolution of the 5.05-inch display is only 720 x 1,520. A main camera with a resolution of 100 MP is on the back, which is supplemented by a telephoto lens with a resolution of 8 MP and 3.4x zoom. The front camera has a resolution of 32 MP.
There is also a fingerprint sensor and a programmable button that provides quick access to various functions. An IR blaster is installed, which can be used to control televisions, for example. The 4,000 mAh battery can be charged with a charging capacity of 66 watts.
