Honor X60 5G to launch soon with massive battery and 108 MP camera as talk of satellite connectivity emerges
Honor has taken to Weibo to boast about the success of the X50, which it presented over a year ago. For reference, the company alleges that it has sold over 15 million units since July 2023 despite electing against selling the X50 globally. In the process, Honor has also now confirmed the launch date of a successor, which should arrive as the X60 5G.
As the teaser images below show, Honor intends to unveil a successor on October 16 with a case that is a mere 7.98 mm thick. Additionally, it seems that at least the X60 5G will retain its predecessor's circular camera design. With that being said, an image shared by @RODENT950 suggests that another series model may feature an octagonal housing and even satellite connectivity.
Meanwhile, other leaks suggest that Honor has equipped the X60 5G with a 6.8-inch display, which also provides enough space for a huge battery. Specifically, the 165.98 x 75.8 mm device is said to rely upon a 5,800 mAh battery that supports 35 W wired charging, which will power a 1080p and 120 Hz display. On top of that, Honor is rumoured to have equipped the X60 5G with a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, as well as a 108 MP primary camera, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
