New Anker EufyCam S3 Pro arrives with Apple HomeKit support
Anker has revealed the EufyCam S3 Pro, now available to pre-order worldwide. The model will support Apple HomeKit; it will be the first Eufy security camera with this feature to be released since 2020, when models like the Security 2K IndoorCam Pan & Tilt arrived. It also supports HomeKit Secure Video with a linked iCloud+ plan. On top of this, it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The S3 Pro camera has a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor, a f/1.0 lens and a 135° field of view. It captures video with a 4K UHD resolution and at 15 fps, which is a lower frame rate for a security camera. MaxColor Vision is an AI-based tool that generates color images at night without the need for an LED light. Plus, the camera has radar and PIR motion detection with a 12 m (~39 ft) range, and you can set security zones to suit your needs. Other features include two-way communication, facial recognition and a 105dB siren. The S3 Pro connects to the HomeBase S380 for 16 GB storage, though this can be expanded to 1 TB.
The camera can work wirelessly thanks to a 13,000mAh battery capacity and a built-in solar panel, with one hour of direct sunlight daily ensuring an ‘endless’ power supply. You can connect the camera to further solar panels, for optimized placement, or connect it to a power supply via USB-C. The EufyCam S3 Pro is now available to pre-order, and will launch on October 10th. The pricing of various bundles is listed below.
