The Feather River Door is made from fiberglass but unpainted so that owners can paint them in any color they prefer. They can also choose between left or right hand inswing, however, buyers will have to provide their own handle and lock. A smart lock such as the Eufy security smart lock C220 (available on Amazon for $149) should do.
Feather River offers the door in three glass sizes—1/4 lite, 1/2 lite, and 3/4 lite—and doesn't need hardwiring as they are battery-powered. The removable battery is built into the frame and there is a spare included, so you can swap out one for the other when it is low. It also comes with a battery charger, a control box, and 2 charging cables with a plug.
Once installed, owners can switch between privacy to clear or vice versa with the press of a button. They can also issue a voice command via Alexa or Google Assistant or via Home Depot's Hubspace smart home app which it works with. The app not only lets users control the transparency but also allows them to set schedules for when they want the glass to be clear or transparent.
The Feather River Smart Glass Door is priced at $798 for the 1/4 lite, $899 for the 1/2 lite, and $998 for the 3/4 lite. It is available to buy from Home Depot.
