Philips Hue releases new update with improvements for Hue Bridge
A new update is rolling out to the Philips Hue Bridge. Software version 1967054010 is being pushed over the air to users globally, bringing improvements to the smart home product’s performance, as well as enhanced reliability.
The release notes indicated that the release would begin in mid-October, but the company did not say when the rollout would be complete. It was also stated that users should ensure they have the latest version of the Philips Hue app installed on their smartphones. Plus, you should check that you have automatic updates enabled in the Hue Bridge’s settings, which can be found in the app.
This does not appear to be the major update that Philips Hue announced in September, which is expected to improve support for multiple Hue Bridges. A release date for this software has yet to be announced. Philips Hue has also recently rolled out software version 1.122.2 for all lamps and light fixtures, bringing support for the Scattered style for gradient lights and four new light effects: Underwater, Cosmos, Sunbeam, and Enchant. These changes are mirrored in the brand’s latest app update.
