iRobot just launched a new 2-in-1 vacuum robot with 120 minutes of battery life and 4-stage cleaning system

The vacuum robot manufacturer iRobot has unveiled its latest Roomba Combo 2 vacuum robot. The company says its new affordable vacuum robot features a powerful suction. However, there is no word on, how much suction power the vacuum robot boasts. Underneath, it has a Multi-Surface bristle brush, an edge-sweeping brush, and a reusable microfiber mop pad that works on the 4-stage cleaning system. You can choose from three levels of mopping water and four suction power settings. 

The cleaning robot uses specialized sensors (again, iRobot hasn't revealed the sensor's name. We are not sure whether it is LDS, LiDar or anything else) for obstacle avoidance. iRobot added two different cleaning modes in the Roomba Combo 2 - Vacuum only and Vacuum and mop. The vacuum robot also has an AutoEmpty dock feature that automatically empties the dust and dirt into an AutoEmpty dock after cleaning. According to the company, the AutoEmpty dock can hold up to 60 days' worth of dirt and debris. 

iRobot claims that the robot lasts up to 120 minutes on a single charge. Furthermore, you can control the vacuum robot using Siri, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa voice commands, or the iRobot’s home app. The companion app further enables several features such as adjusting suction power and water levels, scheduling cleaning routines, checking cleaning reports, monitoring the robot’s health, and for pushing the OTA upgrades to your robot.

Alongside the Roomba Combo 2, iRobot also announced a Roomba Vac 2 vacuum robot in North America. The Vac 2 comes with a similar set of features as the Roomba Combo 2 including an AutoEmpty dock feature, 120 minutes of battery life, and more albeit in a vacuum-only package.
