Intel's upcoming Arc 140T integrated GPU shows impressive muscle, outperforming its Lunar Lake sibling by over 60 percent in recent GFXBench tests. The chip is expected to power Arrow Lake mobile processors in early 2025.

A new Intel Arc graphics chip appeared on GFXBench, showing significant performance boosts over its Lunar Lake counterpart. The GPU in question, the Arc 140T, cranked-out frame rates more than 60 percent better than the current Arc 140V integrated graphics.

According to benchmark scores, Michael (@miktdt) shared on X, the Arc 140T racked up 11,056 frames at 178.3 FPS in GFXBench’s OpenGL test. Meanwhile, the Arc 140V versions with 16GB and 8GB memory only hit 110.3 FPS (6,839 frames) and 106.7 FPS (6,613 frames), respectively.

Judging by the specs and the naming pattern, the Arc 140T seems to be more of an integrated graphics option than a separate GPU. While the older Meteor Lake iGPU achieved higher OpenGL scores, it was less power-efficient and delivered lower gaming performance compared to Lunar Lake.

It is plausible that the Arc 140T is intended for Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake-H/HX mobile chips. That aligns with Intel’s strategy—Arrow Lake focuses on performance, while Lunar Lake puts more weight on power efficiency. The performance difference between the two might have to do with the choice of transistors, with the 140T likely using higher-performing ones compared to the power-saving type in the Arc 140V from Lunar Lake.

If all goes according to plan, we might see the Arc 140T in Arrow Lake mobile chips sometime in early 2025. Currently, Intel hasn’t officially confirmed these specs or the performance numbers.
