Govee launches new Neon Rope Light 2 with Matter compatibility
Govee has launched the Neon Rope Light 2. The gadget was unveiled at CES 2024 with various improvements on the original model, such as 14% greater flexibility, allowing you to create a broader range of shapes. The light strip is available in four versions, with black or white backing and in lengths of 9.8 ft (~3 m) or 16.4 ft (~5 m).
The two lengths of the Neon Rope Light 2 are now on sale in the US for $69.99 and $99.99. Customers in the UK can currently buy the products for the discounted price of £55.99 and £69.99, with an RRP of £79.99 and £99.99. It is worth noting that the black version of the 16.4 ft (~5 m) is currently out of stock in this country. In the EU, the two lights sell for €79.99 and €99.99.
You can use the Govee Home app to scan your chosen shape, copying the image into the app and allowing you to customize your light. From there, you can choose from various colors and effects across the 42 segments for the 9.8 ft (~3 m) version and 70 segments for the 16.4 ft (~5 m) variant. Other features of the Govee Neon Rope Light 2 include integration with various smart home control centres like Amazon Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home, thanks to support for Matter, and a range of voice assistants. Also shown at CES 2024 was the AI Sync Box Kit 2, which is expected to launch at some point in the first half of this year.
