The Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro is now available in European countries like the UK and France. The model has a 5MP camera for images with a 3K resolution and can rotate 360° horizontally. Other features include a physical lens cover and support for voice assistants like Amazon Alexa.

Xiaomi has launched the Smart Camera C500 Pro in EU countries, including the UK, Spain and Italy. The company suggests using the new camera to monitor a baby from another room or check on your pets while away from home.

The Smart Camera C500 Pro features a 5MP camera capturing footage with a 3K resolution (2880 x 1620 px) in HDR mode. An ultra-low light mode provides color footage in darker conditions, and an IR illuminator allows you to view black and white images in total darkness. Pan and tilt motions 360° horizontally and 114° vertically will enable you to survey a vast area in your home, and you can use a physical lens shield for peace of mind regarding privacy. Other features of the smart home gadget include a microphone and speaker for two-way voice calls, dual-band Wi-Fi support and fully encrypted data transfers with cloud storage.

You can control the security camera via the Mi Home app, where you can set up motion detection or loud noise alerts and up to six monitoring zones. Alternatively, you can control the camera with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. The Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 Pro is now on sale for €69.99 in France, Spain, Germany and Italy or £59.99 in the UK. Whether or when the product will arrive in other countries like the Netherlands is unclear.
