OnePlus 13 with Snapdragon 8 Elite secures top spot in latest AnTuTu flagship performance ranking
The Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 became official in October, and a good number of smartphones featuring these two flagship SoCs have already been announced. As for which of the two performs better in synthetic benchmarks, Qualcomm's new 3 nm SoC has taken the lead in AnTuTu's flagship performance ranking from October 2024.
More specifically, the OnePlus 13 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite is on the top with an average score of 2,926,644. The iQoo 13 with the same SoC follows the top ranker closely, securing the second spot in the list with an average score of 2,906,489. As for MediaTek's new flagship SoC, the Vivo X200 Pro with the Dimensity 9400 has put up a good fight.
That phone is on the third spot in the list, with an average score of 2,843,812. It's followed by the Find X8 Pro and non-Pro Find X8, both of which are also powered by the Dimensity 9400. They have the fourth and fifth spots with average scores of 2,842,922 and 2,814,445, respectively.
Vivo's X200 has a noticeable score difference from the other Dimensity 9400-powered flagship phones on the list. It is in the sixth spot with an average score of 2,569,965. The newly announced Xiaomi 15 has a similar story. Despite being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it got the seventh spot with an average of 2,546,330.
The other phones on the list are the Vivo X200 Pro mini, Xiaomi 15 Pro, and iQoo Neo 9S Pro+. Among all the phones that are in AnTuTu's flagship smartphone ranking from October, only the Neo9S Pro+ has the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But as the list shows, it's not far behind the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
This suggests that the Snapdragon 8 Elite inside the Xiaomi 15 series may not be ready to score high in benchmarks just yet. But again, synthetic benchmark scores are one of the many criteria that you need to consider before purchasing a smartphone. It's also worth noting that AnTuTu's ranking doesn't stay the same each month. So, it's possible that Xiaomi's new flagship phones will climb up in the next one.
