Redmi K80 Pro leak reveals camera specs of the upcoming affordable flagship

Xiaomi is expected to announce the Redmi K80 series in November, which will initially bring two phones, with the Ultra variant possibly launching sometime next year. Among the initial two devices, the standard will likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Pro will sport the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Considering the past K-series lineups, the Redmi K80 Pro will be one of the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships. Now, while Xiaomi hasn't detailed the specs of the smartphone yet, a new leak has shed light on the possible camera setup of the phone.

According to XiaomiTime, the K80 Pro will feature a 50 MP OVX8000 primary sensor, a 50 MP Samsung S5KJN5 telephoto, and a 32 MP Samsung S5KKD1 ultrawide camera. Among these three, XiaomiTime says that the telephoto will offer 3x optical zoom, something that a reliable Weibo tipster 体验more has hinted at before.

XiaomiTime also adds that the front will sport a 20 MP OV20B40. This camera setup would be an upgrade over the Redmi K70 Pro, and it would make the upcoming Redmi K80 Pro a bit more versatile.

In other news, the Redmi K80 Pro has been spotted in 3C certification. According to the certification, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship will have support for wired 120W fast charging, which is higher than the 90W support of the recently announced Xiaomi 15 Pro.

The non-Pro Redmi K80, on the other hand, is rumored to support 90W fast charging (120W Anker 737 GaNPrime charger curr. $69.99 on Amazon). Both the non-Pro and Pro variants are expected to debut in the global market under the Poco branding, with the latter possibly launching as the Poco F7 Ultra.
