Nubia Z70 Ultra: Camera samples of Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship published online

It seems that the launch of ZTE's first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered flagship nears. While the company has not officially revealed a release date, it seems that the successor to the Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version (curr. $679 on Amazon) could be with us before the end of the month. To that end, ZTE President Ni Fei has now shared early camera samples from the upcoming Nubia Z70 Ultra on Weibo, which we reproduced below.

Seemingly, the device's 35 mm primary camera will support a variable aperture, unlike many of its peers. Currently, ZTE has not confirmed the device's peak aperture range, although f/4.0 seems likely. Added to that, Fei has also published a short video on his Weibo account highlighting the Nubia Z70 Ultra's primary camera at the same aperture.

Moreover, it seems that ZTE appears to showcase new telephoto camera technology with the same device. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed the magnification or equivalent focal length of this telephoto camera. With that being said, the close-ups show an impressive level of detail without any artefacts typically associated with high zoom levels. For reference, the Nubia Z60 Ultra has an 85 mm and 3.3x telephoto camera. Presumably, ZTE will wait until early next year before replacing the Nubia Z60 Ultra and Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version globally.
