Huawei Mate 70 Ultimate Design tipped to launch as new ultra-flagship smartphone soon
Huawei's plans for mid-November 2024 include the launch of 4 new flagship-series smartphones, according to eminent leaker Digital Chat Station. They include direct successors to the Mate 60, 60 Pro and 60 Pro Plus, apparently.
The 60 RS, however, is now said to be replaced by the Mate 70 "UD" - or, possibly, Mate 70 Ultimate Design. If so, the new top-end handset could be styled to match the Mate XT - except without the ground-breaking, ultra-expensive tri-folding design, obviously.
Each member of the Mate 70 series is thought to have a refined version of its predecessor's camera hump, while their screens might have "slightly narrower" bezels, yet be no less curved.
They might also debut as Huawei's inaugural HarmonyOS NEXT smartphones, powered by next-gen (if somewhat compromised) Kirin 9000-series silicon. However, their upgrades might entail the announcement of a generational price-hike before the end of 2024.
