The Mate 70 series' last appearance in a high-profile leak may or may not have seen one of the upcoming flagship smartphones mistaken for the Nubia Z70 Ultra.
It is tipped to adopt an iPhone-esque flat-edged frame (as with most of its premium Android-powered rivals); however, the "Mate 70-series" device as depicted in a new leak clearly bucks this trend.
It is said to stick with a quad-curved display to go with its curving sides; then again, it retains the Mate 60 series' reputation for relatively slim camera humps - even though it seems to house no less than 5 lenses and/or sensors on its rear panel.
Given its signature octagonal shape, the hump might debut as a successor to that of the 60 RS, even though the blog Techmaniacs identifies the device as the 70 Pro instead.
Either way, it is said to debut with a fingerprint sensor built into the power button (which is indeed red) rather than directly into the display, as Huawei will strive to boost the uptake of its version of Face ID in Mate 70-series users.
