Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 (2025) and Mate 70 tipped to support new AI-powered physical file-transfer gesture
A new leak purports to confirm that Huawei's next flagship tablet will launch as the MatePad Pro 13.2 (2025) later in November 2024. It is projected to form the OEM's best and most seamless ecosystem with other allegedly new devices such as the Mate 70 Pro or X6 on their debut as they will all run HarmonyOS Next out of the box.
Its Apple-style cross-platform 'magic' features are now thought to include "Ai Gesture Drop", a more AirDrop-like way of sharing files between devices when the owner 'waves' one of them at the other.
Like the Mate 70 series, the MatePad Pro 13.2 (2025) is also now thought to have an in-house Kirin processor that might improve its AI power efficiency.
The typically reliable leaker Digital Chat Station also now hints at a new rear panel composed of a glass-alternative for potentially improved portability and durability.
Then again, the tipster also intimates that the updated Mate series will have "AON" cameras, which, as that branding has applied to Honor smartphones in the recent past, is a strange thing to attribute to upcoming Huawei products.
The FreeBuds Pro 3: now available on Amazon.de.
