Huawei Watch Ultimate launches globally as new flagship smartwatch suitable for divers
Huawei has now launched the Watch Ultimate in Europe, one of many devices that the company has now introduced outside China. To recap, the Watch Ultimate debuted nearly two weeks ago in Huawei's home market. However, the global version of the Watch Ultimate is not quite the same device that Huawei sells in China.
Specifically, the global version of the Watch Ultimate cannot send or receive satellite messages. Still, the Watch Ultimate is one of the only smartwatches that is 10 ATM water resistant and is suitable to take diving. Accordingly, Huawei has pre-installed diving apps, mirroring the Apple Watch Ultra. Fundamentally, the Watch Ultimate is the same smartwatch that Huawei launched last month, with a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a 530 mAh battery, a 48.5 mm case size and a 76 g weight without a strap included.
The Watch Ultimate retails for €749 in Expedition Black and €899 in Voyage Blue. In other words, the Watch Ultimate is cheaper in Europe than in China, where it sells for between CNY 5,999 (~€805) and CNY 6,999 (~€939). Additionally, Huawei will include a complimentary pair of FreeBuds Pro 2 earbuds with orders placed before April 23. Please see Huawei's website for more details.
