Nokia is continuing its reboot, having recently presented a new logo. Now, the company has introduced Pure, a design language that will determine its software going forwards. However, it is currently unclear whether Nokia Pure will make its way to Nokia-branded smartphones, nor whether HMD Global will offer a corresponding Android skin. For reference, HMD Global has scaled back its Nokia offering in recent years, with the Nokia X30 5G now serving as the company's marquee smartphone.
In any case, Nokia Pure should serve as a design language across Nokia's apps, online services and websites. As the teaser images linked below show, Nokia Pure relies on a muted design with various shades of blue and grey. Nokia has also simplified icon design, as well as buttons and control elements. Additionally, Nokia Pure features a single eponymous sans serif font in several weights. Moreover, the design language uses simple geometric shapes for icons and rounded rectangles with corner radii of 16 pixels.
Furthermore, Nokia has already shown what Nokia Pure could look like when applied to smartphone and smartwatch apps. Accordingly, Nokia's designers have developed light and dark modes, along with numerous templates intended to save time when developing apps and websites. More details about Nokia Pure can be found on its official website.
