Garmin Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945 receive bug fixes thanks to latest beta updates
Garmin has added a new build to its Beta Program for the Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945. While equivalent updates for the Forerunner 255 and Forerunner 955 differ in their changelogs, Beta Version 12.51 improves the Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945 in essentially the same ways, although the build for the Forerunner 245 contains one change fewer than its counterparts.
Specifically, Garmin claims to have updated bike camera support across all models. For some reason, it has not clarified how it has updated this support, nor whether it has added any additional bike cameras to which the Forerunner 245, Forerunner 745 or Forerunner 945 could be paired. Likewise, Garmin has bundled various 'minor bug fixes and improvements', on which it has not elaborated.
Moreover, the Forerunner 745 and Forerunner 945 have received improvements to altitude calibration error handling. In the same changelog, Garmin explains that it has addressed reports of sudden elevation changes occurring during an activity. Beta Version 12.51 will arrive via the Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) service, unlike Beta Version 25.78 for the Fenix 6 series and other smartwatches. Please see Garmin's blog post for more details.
