Garmin Beta 15.11 now available for Forerunner 955 and 255
Garmin released Beta update 15.11 for the Forerunner 255 Music and 955 smartwatches. The latest software includes many bug fixes; for example, inaccuracies with sunrise and sunset times have been resolved. A problem that meant cycling ability was unavailable if you did not have a course profile and issues with the data screen layout have also been fixed.
Other bugs tackled for eligible Forerunner wearables include sorting several issues with watch faces, ensuring incident detection can be switched back on and correcting problems with tones and vibrations for notifications. You can now enter decimal weights in a strength activity, and the 5% backlight option has been removed. Update v15.11 for the Garmin Forerunner 955 adds additional shortcuts to glances from some watch face data fields and support for Connect IQ System 6 watch faces. Bug fixes which solely affect this wearable are for a problem when using the map in an activity which could cause the device to reset and an issue with resuming a golf activity.
The new Garmin Forerunner 255 Music software also resets the navigation data screens. These latest updates are release candidates, so you must download them manually from Settings > System > Software Update. Customers who wish to join the Garmin Beta program can do so via Garmin Connect.
