Xiaomi Pad 6: Global launch confirmed for new tablet
Xiaomi is preparing to release the Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro in China, with the company having confirmed several device details so far. There is also evidence that the company is on track to offer at least one model globally, though. Specifically, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has published initial documents for 23043RP34G, a tablet filed under FCC ID 2AFZZRP34G.
As always, the FCC has not revealed the device's marketing name. However, the 23043RP34G has been seen previously under its Chinese guise as 23043RP34C, which Xiaomi certified with the 3C alongside the 23046RP50C. According to the FCC, 23043RP34G supports 33 W charging, not 67 W, as Xiaomi has teased for the Pad 6 series. Thus, it would appear that 23043RP34G is the model number for the global version of the Pad 6, with 23046RP50C and 67 W charging applying to the Pad 6 Pro.
Additionally, the FCC mentions that the tablet has a 4,320 mAh battery. Xiaomi's announcement that the Pad 6 series will offer an 8,600 mAh capacity all but confirms the presence of two batteries, though. Moreover, the regulatory body outlines that the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be available in three memory variants, starting with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. As one image below shows, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will also come in 8 GB of RAM options with either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The Pad 6 series will debut in China on April 18; details on a global release date are pending for now.
