Samsung will supposedly launch its first-ever foldable tablet called the Galaxy Z Tab alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Whether or not it is the tri-folding tablet Samsung showed off earlier remains to be seen.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in August is shaping up to be stacked with high-profile launches such as the Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S9 series and, if some rumours are true, the Galaxy S23 FE. There is, however, yet another never-before-seen product lined up, according to Twitter leaker @Tech_Reve: an entirely new foldable.

Rumours about the Galaxy Z Tab (tentative) have been around for a while. It will supposedly be the tri-folding tablet Samsung (and a few others) showed off at various events. However, the aforementioned rumour also says the tri-folding tablet will be launched as the Galaxy Z Flex.

While Galaxy Z Tab would be a welcome addition to Samsung's ever-expanding repertoire of foldables, only a few leakers have even mentioned it, let alone predict its hardware specs. That could change once Galaxy Unpack's date draws close and other leakers chime in with more data.

Still, there is a good chance Samsung shelves the Galaxy Z Tab for the time being due to virtually no competition in the foldable tablet space. Now, Samsung could have a Lenovo Yoga 9i/Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED competitor lined up, but it is unlikely to be launched as a tablet and fall under the Galaxy Book line.
