Digital Chat Station has shed new light on the Oppo Find N3, nearly two months after the leaker disclosed details about the next-generation foldable. To recap, the leaker claimed that the Find N3, codenamed PHN110, would launch with a trio of 50 MP rear-facing cameras.
Now, the Find N3 is rumoured to contain three Sony IMX890 sensors, which the Find X6 Pro uses for its ultra-wide-angle and telephoto cameras. By contrast, Oppo's latest premier smartphone utilises the Sony IMX989 for its main camera, as does the Vivo X90 Pro Plus and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Unsurprisingly, Oppo's MariSilicon X NPU will make an appearance, as will Hasselblad camera tunings.
Meanwhile, the Omnivision OV32C will handle front-facing optics, which is the same 32 MP sensor Oppo uses in the current Find N2. Additionally, the Find N3 is tipped to offer a 4,800 mAh battery, up from 4,520 mAh in the Find N2. A side-mounted fingerprint reader will return, as will a 120 Hz LTPO foldable display. Currently, Oppo is expected to launch the Find N3 in Q3 2023 with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2, which Qualcomm is likely to announce by the summer, going off past Snapdragon 8 series mid-cycle refreshes.
