OPPO Find N3 tipped to launch with improved main display and availability worldwide
OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch its first-gen foldable smartphone later in 2023. This device is, according to the typically knowledgeable leaker Digital Chat Station, destined for the brand's international markets. Then again, it might also be available in China, albeit under a different name: that of the OPPO Find N3.
This might be good news for OnePlus fans, as this device is currently projected to launch as a successor to the premium, well-spec'd N2, albeit with the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a different, more Find X6-like, camera hump.
Digital Chat Station's latest projections on that subject specify a Sony IMX890 as a main shooter, backed up by a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a periscope zoom module. Therefore, that might not quite be a triple 50MP set-up, but still might be something, especially with Hasselblad tuning as suspected.
However, some fans might not care in the face of the OEM's latest main foldable display, an alleged ~8-inch/2268×2440/120Hz flexible panel, compared to the 7.1-inch/1792×1920/120Hz display of the N2.
Hopefully, those new dimensions would not do too much to the Find N series' reputation for more usable, 18:9 cover displays...then again, the only image pertaining to its latest generation available to date does hint at a slightly taller, skinnier foldable this time around.
