Deal | 55-inch Hisense A6H 4K HDR TV with Dolby Vision drops to US$259 on Amazon
Less than US$300 is a rather tight budget for prospective television buyers, but thankfully, some manufacturers have released quite usable 4K HDR TVs at this extremely cheap price point. Even in terms of size, budget-conscious viewers can set their sights on a 55-inch model thanks to a current deal for the Hisense A6H on Amazon.
After a nice little discount of 26 percent or US$90, Amazon is currently offering the 55-inch version of the cheap Hisense A6H 4K TV with a traditional LED backlight for US$259 including free shipping. This set also supports the important Dolby Vision HDR format and builds on the Android-based Google TV operating system, which features a huge selection of compatible apps including all meaningful streaming services. Camelcamelcamel's price tracker indicates that this is Amazon's second-lowest price ever for the Hisense A6H in this particular size.
Corresponding to the very affordable price, the Hisense A6H is equipped with a low-end 60Hz IPS display, which sports very decent viewing angles but certainly can't compete with the much higher contrast ratios of VA or even OLED panels. On the positive side, Rtings has found that this 4K TV upscales lower resolution content pretty well, but its peak brightness of just 270 nits is very low and doesn't allow for an impactful HDR experience. Nevertheless, for US$270 on Amazon, this deal can be a good choice for regular users who just need a cheap basic TV and don't care too much about picture quality.
