Samsung Galaxy M54: New mid-range smartphone lands with huge 120 Hz AMOLED display and larger battery than Galaxy S23 Ultra

Samsung has announced the Galaxy M54, which joins the Galaxy A14, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy F14 as another offering in the company's mid-range product stack. For some reason, Samsung has only listed the Galaxy M54 on its Palestinian website for now, but a global launch seems likely considering the countries in which its predecessor is available.

Samsung's listing does not reveal any pricing, either. Still, it confirms all key specifications, including a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that runs at 1080p and 120 Hz. Additionally, the 164.9 x 77.3 x 8.4 mm and 199 g device has a 6,000 mAh battery that offers 25 W wired charging. As such, the Galaxy M54 has a larger battery than the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung's current premier smartphone. Samsung adds that the Galaxy M54 has a 108 MP primary camera supported by OIS, plus 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP auxiliary and 32 MP front-facing cameras.

Moreover, the Galaxy M54 has 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, an Exynos 1380 chipset and a choice of 128 GB or 256 GB expandable storage. As with all modern Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy M54 will ship with One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. Furthermore, Samsung promises to deliver four years of major Android OS updates and a fifth year of security patch updates, a commitment that it also extends to the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 but not the Galaxy F14.
