Samsung has certified what is likely to be the complete Galaxy Watch6 series, LTE models excluded. As the images below show, new certifications have revealed battery capacities for four Galaxy Watch6 models, although the standard Galaxy Watch 6 has been spotted previously. Incidentally, GalaxyClub discovered an equivalent certification for the LTE version of the Galaxy Watch5 earlier this month, denoted by its SM-R935x model number.
Now, SamMobile has located the Galaxy Watch6 series in China. Based on the information provided, Samsung plans to offer the following models and battery capacities:
- Galaxy Watch6 40mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch6 44mm: 425mAh
- Galaxy Watch6 Classic 42mm: 300mAh
- Galaxy Watch6 Classic 46mm: 425mAh
For reference, the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic will have 5.6% larger batteries than the smaller Galaxy Watch5 but 3.6% larger batteries than its larger sibling. Currently, it is unknown whether Samsung will also sell a Galaxy Watch5 Pro successor, which dropped the physical rotating bezel of the Classic. However, Samsung included a much larger battery, 590 mAh, that delivered two day runtimes in our tests.
A firm release date for the Galaxy Watch6 series has not emerged yet, either. If Samsung follows the same schedule as previous years, expect to see the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic arrive in August during an in-person and live-streamed launch event. Presumably, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Z series simultaneously too, which is expected to consist of the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5.
