According to @UniverseIce, Samsung is finalising a significant update for the Galaxy S23 series. While recent One UI updates have focused on squashing bugs on Samsung's latest flagships, the leaker claims that the company is also hoping to improve camera performance. Presumably, Samsung will address or mitigate the blurring that multiple Galaxy S23 owners have experienced in early One UI 5.1 builds.
For example, @UniverseIce hints that Samsung will make improvements to Night Mode within the stock camera app. As it stands, Samsung's algorithm appears to aggressively oversharpen images, particularly on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Potentially, this could be Samsung getting to grips with the device's new 200 MP sensor, which has also proven the case with Apple and Google when they adopted new camera hardware.
Moreover, increasing shutter release speed may minimise blurring effects. Incidentally, Samsung already offers shutter speed customisations within Camera Assistant, a Good Lock extension. Furthermore, the leaker has implied that the Galaxy S23 series could receive performance uplifts too, although the exact changes remain to be seen at this stage. Regardless, @UniverseIce expects Samsung to start rolling out a camera-focused update for the Galaxy S23 series later this month.
