Motorola Moto G53s: New smartphone leaks as potentially smaller Moto G53 alternative
Motorola has registered another forthcoming smartphone with the Google Play Console, a month after adding the Edge 40 Pro. Now, the Moto G53s has made its way to the Google Play Console with low-end specifications. The Google Play Console has not revealed what the Moto G53s looks like, but we imagine it will resemble the Moto G53 that Motorola has already released.
Based on the screenshot below, the Moto G53S has a 720p display like the Moto G53. However, the Google Play Console reports a 280 PPI pixel density, 10 PPI more pixel-dense than the Moto G53. If a 280 PPI pixel density is correct, it is likely that the Moto G53s has closer to a 6.3-inch display rather than the 6.5-inch one in the Moto G53. Hence, it would appear that the Moto G53s is a smaller alternative to the Moto G53 too.
The Moto G53s will also rely on the Qualcomm SM4350, the codename for the Snapdragon 480. Released in early 2021, the Snapdragon 480 is a lower-clocked version of the Snapdragon 480 Plus that powers the Moto G53. Additionally, the Moto G53s runs Android 13, has 4 GB of RAM and appears to be codenamed 'penang_g'. A release date is unknown for the time being, as are pricing details.
