Samsung's latest product for the South Korean market is pitched as a business device - however, a closer look reveals that it is not just any work smartphone, but one with some of the same specs as the Galaxy S21. This ex-flagship reincarnation is also thought to join the Galaxy M series should it be released to the global market soon.

The Galaxy Jump 3 is the latest and best 5G smartphone for business customers on the KT network, according to Samsung South Korea - however, it is also clearly the device that leaked as the Galaxy M44 prior to its launch.

The main clue to its alternative identity is found in the Jump 3's model number (SM-M446KZKAKTC), and is, thus, Samsung's mystery new Snapdragon 888 smartphone. The OEM does not credit the SoC outright, although its "CPU speed" specs (2.84 GHz, 2.4 GHz or 1.8 GHz distributed across 8 cores) as given on its new product page gives that game away.

The Galaxy M44 even has an FHD+ 120Hz display, just like the Galaxy S21 in which the 888 made its debut - accordingly, it is somewhat of a shame that it is saddled with a waterdrop-notched IPS display, not to mention a single 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage configuration.

The M44 Jump 3 does have a vanilla S21-dwarfing 5,000mAh battery, and also even has triple rear camera rings. Then again, only 1 of those contains a decent 50MP shooter, with the others occupied with a 2MP sensor apiece.

Given its enterprise device status, the smartphone lacks individual pricing for now. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see how a device of such specs would cost on the open retail market in the near future. For context, a 6GB M34 5G (with an AMOLED display) started at INR 24,499 on its Indian launch (although it is discounted by 32% today (November 11, 2023) on Amazon).
