Samsung has launched the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54, two new mid-range smartphones that should improve upon their predecessors in various areas. According to Samsung, the pair have brighter displays, superior cameras and decent battery life. Both models match the 5,000 mAh batteries in their predecessors though, so it remains to be seen whether the Galaxy A34 or Galaxy A54 will deliver better battery life too.
As expected, the pair feature Super AMOLED displays that operate at 1080p and 120 Hz. However, while the Galaxy A34 has a 6.6-inch display, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A54 with a 6.4-inch panel. Accordingly, the Galaxy A54 is smaller than the Galaxy A34 at 158.2 x 76.7 x 8.2 mm versus 161.3 x 78.1 x 8.2 mm. For some reason, the Galaxy A34 is roughly 3 g lighter than the Galaxy A54, with the pair weighing 199 g and 202 g, respectively. Samsung has not confirmed which chipset either smartphone use, although they are thought to rely on MediaTek's Dimensity 900.
