OnePlus is linked to third-gen Nord and Nord CE handsets with potentially impressive specs for their respective tiers; however, it seems both smartphones have been beaten onto the market by their CE 3 Lite counterpart. It will become available for pre-order in conjunction with its official debut, now scheduled for later in 2023.
The OEM asserts that this event will be "Larger than Life", with its own AR concert and "exclusive pre-order offers" that may enable the buyer to "save big" on the day. They include deals that include free gifts with a purchase, "extra" trade-in offers or 2 months' worth of YouTube Premium access for free, although their availability may be region-dependent.
To recap briefly, current speculation suggests that the buyer might get a smartphone with a 120Hz display driven by the Snapdragon 695 SoC and a large battery with 67W fast charging. OnePlus has yet to do anything that might confirm those rumors, although it has revealed that the CE 2 Lite successor will be coming in Pastel Lime, "a bright, refreshing natural finish like green plant life".
The brand has yet to indicate whether this new colorway is derived from a plant-based process or not. Either way, the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G may prove interesting to buyers worldwide should OnePlus get the price right. However, as the OEM has set its debut time at 15:30 CET or 19:00 IST on April 4, 2023, it looks like this smartphone is one headed for the European and Indian markets only.
